Engagement photo session
photo critique
Hello Christian,
My name is Farida Alvi, I am a photographer in Ontario, Canada. I started my photography business about 6 months ago and am looking for some professional feedback on my work.
I shot this engagement shoot with the Canon 5D Mark 3, the 50mm 1.4 lens and edited all the pictures myself in Photoshop.
This is the link to my website, blog and facebook page.

thank you for your submission. I am happy to critique this for you as I believe your photos are stunning. I did not take pictures as good as you do right now at the beginning of my photography business. They are absolutely beautiful and you have great skills, eyes, vision and understanding of light and composition. I have no doubt you can deliver world class photography. I saw your website and I can see you are at the beginning. If you do few more sessions, it will make it look liek an established photographer.
In regards to your images I have nothing to say, other than they have a beautiful tone. I like the pink contrast of the lady with the slightly desaturated green of the surroundings. That create powerfull visual impact. Also the boyfriend being dressed in grey compliment the girl. Compositions are perfect, they show great understanding of the visual language. Rule of thirds present and slightly ignored and that makes them great photos…
I believe you know enough photography to be a great professional, but now it is time for your business skills to be shown, and that will ensure your success as a business. If you wish to share some of your knowledge here with us, I would be honoured to receive your input.
love your work!
Christian
