Alfred – portraiture photo critique
I wish to submit this portrait entitled ‘Alfred’ for your ‘Photo
Critique’ offer. I feel that this portrait portrays someone who seems
authoritarian, perhaps suspicious and guarded.
I thank you once more for your excellent work,
Best regards,
Robert Chircop.

Content 7 out of 10 – portraits are very usual so nothing special there, I would have rated 5 out of 10, but the presentation and the unusual personality takes it higher.
Composition – 9 out of 10, for a portrait I cannot find any faults. It is a bust, focus on the face and personality, facial expression, there is comfortable balance. I believe the size of the head in this image is close to being perfect, not smaller, not bigger. I believe this works…
Image quality – 9 out of 10 – I love the contrast, the colour, the sharpness, the light direction. It is all to outline the personality and the dramatic effect,
Overall TRS is an 8 which is almost very good. I absolutely love this portrait as it different, dramatic, powerful .

I wanted to have this critique separately from the others as this image is fantastic and I did not want any distractions. Thank you for such a great image as it made my day when I saw It. I love people like you humble enough to ask me for a critique and exceeding my talent and vision.
I am honoured you wanted me to critique your work
Christian
