springtime baby photography
Hi ChristianI have just started a business in photography about 6 months ago and love working with babies and young children but was hoping to get some feedback on my work and see where I could improve more. I took this photo last Spring. Any feedback would be very much appreciated… I love your work and hope to eventually work my way up into weddings etc.Thank you for your timeHayleyParkes, NSW, Australia…………………..
Content 6.5 out of 10
For content I will be comparing this image with other baby photography portraits. This is not the best, not the worst, but the image looks good, it is nice, appealing, there is a facial expression of curiosity. It is captured well, however it looks as a picnic photo. It is better then the average, and i can recognise the intent as the baby girls is wearing womthing special for the photo session?
please tell me…was this a session for someone else or is she your daughter?
Overall I like the image, and probably more if she was my daughter, but in the overall baby portrait genre this is OK-ish. Could be better.
Composition 4 out of 10
I cannot see a clear compositional intention, despite the fact it is nicely framed. I think the position of the baby is not really helping. Maybe you can try a different angle?
Image quality 8.5 out of 10
Very nice image, I love the colour tones, it looks sunset, nice light, very well exposed
Final TRS mark 6.3 out of 10
I would classify this in the good photography category. With a better composition , this could have been way better.
Hayley
despite the rating above, I see professionalism level and I am sure you can sell something like this. I can spot a good camera and a good lens. I can see some post editing – can you tell us the story behind this image? for who? when and with what?
By the way, I have been to Parkes many times!
Best wishes
Christian
