Close the dress

As part of the bride preparation, I would never  miss this important moment of closing the dress. Already a classic for all wedding photography, this is not necessarily a critical image, but the bride will always appreciate it. It is one of those poses that she will want, as this is everywhere, and all the good photographers are ticking this box. Just make sure you do not miss it and shoot few times with what you have in terms of lenses. It is in the same category when you need to shoot the bride getting her shoes on, putting up the garter and other bits and pieces closer the the completion of the wedding dress. I would also include in this category the bride arranging her earrings, bride helping her parents with jewellery or flowers on the costumes etc. I am not going to show all the images as they are not the special in my opinion, are just standard shots that come natural to an experienced wedding photographer.

An interesting use for this pose is again the prime lens just to give it a bit of depth of field. I am sure I have mentioned depth of field a lot, but make sure you do not overuse it as it can become a bit boring after a while. In this case it has a good use though.
